EARLY TO MID 19TH CENTURY FOUR DOOR CUPBOARD/LINEN PRESS

We were so pleased to acquire this wonderful and early cupboard. At first, we thought it was a linen press, and it may be, but there are plate racks on each shelf that look to be authentic to the piece. This is very old, the EARLY hand cut nails and wood pegs show the early construction of this NJ piece. All the shelves are hand planed. The drawers are finely dovetailed. (remember, the less the dovetailing, the earlier the piece) I believe this is chestnut with apple wood inserts. This is an excellent size with plenty of storage and drawers also. I love these cupboards, they have so many uses!! Getting hard to find!!!
