SIGNED J E JEFFORDS, PHILADELPHIA, PA MIXING BOWLS AND BATTER BOWL

As I have stated many times, few pieces of yelloware were signed by the potter. These pieces are signed by the potter, J E Jeffords, Philadelphia, Pa with the exception of the largest mixing bowl. It WAS made by Jeffords, but is not signed....

1. A huge! Bread bowl, 14 1/2" wide, in the typical Jeffords pattern

2. Signed bowl, 13" !! bread bowl

3. Signed bowl 11 1/2" bowl

4. Signed Huge 14 1/2" Batter Bowl

MAGNIFICENT YELLOWWARE GEOMETRIC DESIGN MOLD

Avid collectors of yellowware molds know the importance of a CRISP and DETAILED mold, with clean lines. This 19th century mold doesn't come much better. This is very detailed, in what I call a Geometric or flower design. Deep, rich yellow in wonderful condition and hard to find design. This measures 6 1/2" X 6" X4 1/2" high. This is an excellent yellowware mold......one of the best!

**************************************************************************************** CIRCA 1850 - 1880 YELLOWWARE FISH MOLD, RARE

This is what is referred to as the "Bug Eyed" fish mold, most likely because of his great big eye! This is a SHARP and DETAILED mold, You can easily see his fins, scaling and everything wonderful about this rare mold. This rectangular mold is 5" long.

WAX SEALER CANNING JAR..........WITH ORIGINAL TIN LID! YELLOWWARE

This is a wonderful yelloware wax sealing canning jar with the original tin lid. Most of the tin lids were lost, but this one is intact. These held fruit, when filled, the tin lid was placed on the lip and hot wax was poured over that, to seal the ingredients. This was made in Ohio or Illinois. Lovely design on this wax sealer from the 19th century.

*************************************************************************************** SIGNED AND RARE YELLOWARE ADVERTISING h SWIRL MOLD CIRCA 1880

This is the sweetest little (4") mold, most likely made by YellowRock out of Philadlephia, Pa for the Hecker's Farina Company. EMBOSSED in the clay reads, "Heckers Farina Jelly Mold" This was advertising for Heckers Farina. Rare because molds didn't have advertising on them. One of a kind!

YELLOWWARE ROCKINGHAM DECORATED MOLD, HARD TO FIND!!

This yellowware mold has an embossed rather than impressed design, which is very different. Shown inside is "A. HANCOCK MANUFACTURER & INVENTOR" with a STAR in each corner. This is considered a loaf pan type mold. This measures 6 x 7" x 4 1/2" high. Circa 1860 - 1900.

WONDERFUL YELLOWWARE LOAF MOLD

This is a wonderful loaf mold, measuring 7" x 9 1/2" x 2 1/4" H. This is latter part of 19th century. You can see the stilt/mold marking on the bottom of the pan. A great to add to your collection..........

This is so hard to find!!!!! An 11" nappy with FLOWER FEET. Ex Condition

FEW PIECES OF YELLOWWARE ARE SIGNED BY THE MAKER. When you do see one signed, it is more rare and a plus for the collector!

These four pieces of yellowware are signed YELLOW ROCK, PHILA. The two swirl molds are 5 1/2" wide and the other swirl mold is 4 1/2" wide. The cluster of grapes is also signed.

EARLY YELLOWARE MOLD, BASKET OF FLOWERS, CIRCA 1840 - 1850

This is a very early yelloware mold, very detailed and crisp, showing a basket of flowers. Along the inside of the mold, nice design also. This early yelloware has no rim or feet, but when made, rested in sand while the mold hardened. This is a large mold, measuring 9 1/2" x 8".

PAIR OF YELLOWWARE "PIE PLATE" COLANDER'S - CIRCA 19TH CENTURY

Here are two, rare, Pie Plate colander's, in great shape. Pie Plate colander's are the rarest of the colanders. The first one is with a rockingham glaze, the second one is plain yelloware with brown splotches and on feet. These are in remarkably good condition, as they were used frequently. {yesteryears 'treasures' were not considered antiques!}The yellow colander with splotches has been sold.

This is a nice find, could be Jeffords from Philadelphia, Ohio made or English.

**RARE** YELLOWWARE PARROT ON A BRANCH MOLD AND YELLOWWARE LION MOLD These are amazing, in wonderful condition. The Parrot on a branch mold is crisp and highly detailed. The interior wall design is uncommon, as it is plainly fluted, measuring 9 1/2" x 8", dating to the late 1800's.

The LION mold is also very crisp in detail and design, measuring 7: x 8 1/2 and on an unusual base.

TWO YELLOWWARE RABBIT MOLDS, ONE IN WHITE INSIDE GLAZE

These are great yellowware rabbit molds, the one has a white glaze on the inside. Could be Jeffords from Phila, or made in Ohio or England.

YELLOWWARE FOOD MOLD MADE BY I.W.CORY, TRENTON, NJ, CIRCA 1867-1870

Great and rare piece of yellowware. This is an unsigned piece made by I.W.Cory, Trenton, NJ. You can find this piece in Lisa McAllister's book on Yellowware. This is a CRISP mold, great detailing on large leaves with grapes. There is one small nick on the bottom rim, you can see it in the picture. This is a large 7 1/2" round.

This is a wonderful yelloware mold in CRISP detail. Grapes, leaves, etc on this mold, in great condition, signed on back, YellowRock, Phila. As you know, signed pieces of yellowware are hard to come by.

YELLOWWARE WASHBOARD IN ROCKINGHAM GLAZE

This is a wonderful antique yellowware washboard in rockingham glaze. These were heavily used and few survived, making them quite scare. This is in wonderful condition!

YELLOWWARE SIGNED "YELLOW ROCK" MINI MOLDS

These are three yelloware mini molds, most likely for maple sugar candy, with the 'Yellow Rock" signature on the bottom. They are all signed, my camera didnt pick up the signature on the one... Please call for price as they vary. The triangular mold has been sold.
