                  THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE "HOME"

HOME!! What image comes to mind when you think of HOME. I think of home as my sanctuary, a place of security and comfort, a place you can close out all the stress of the day. Home and hearth conjures up wonderful thoughts to me. Collectors of Early American antiques love them for many reasons. Some feel the pull of the past; how many times have we heard the expression, "I must have lived in an earlier time!" I say that all the time myself. I feel comfortable surrounded by treasures of the past and I love to LIVE WITH these wonderful antiques. I look at a handmade drysink and try to imagine who made it, how he made it, how big was the tree he cut down by hand, to hand plane it and then make the nails, paint and the finished product and now I OWN IT. All the lovely primitives we have acquired over the years, all the new homes they went to and the comfort these treasures give to each of us, makes us keep on the trail, always searching for the best we can find. Today's market demands high prices for these early antiques and we strive to offer affordable antique in an escalating market, each item we find is HAND PICKED. We are forever grateful to our wonderful creator for helping in the hunt and we are blessed by so many wonderful friends/customers, that appreciate our great finds. In this hectic world we live in, it is so nice to come HOME.

******************************************************************************** WE ARE BACK FROM OUR BUYING TRIP, LOADED WITH 'WONDERFUL' PRIMITIVES, IN ORIGINAL PAINT, EARLY SMALLS, SO CHECK MY WEBSITE AND TAKE A LOOK. OUR TRIP WAS AN EYE OPENER ON WHAT IS REALLY OUT THERE FOR SALE, HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO FIND 'GOOD, ORIGINAL PAINT AND SURFACE' ANTIQUES, ' AFFORDABLY!!!" MANY STORES HAVE CLOSED, SO THIS BECAME A 'REAL' TREASURE HUNT. THANKFULLY, WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR PURCHASES AND HOPE OUR CUSTOMERS ARE ALSO :)

Our show at Tinicum was amazing. Early on, we sold a fabulous, early American dry sink in original soldier blue paint. Also sold, a wonderful, early table in original paint with all smithy made nails, some wood pegs as well. An 1840 Pine small table was sold early in the show also, along with baskets, early textiles, some rare stoneware, painted pantry boxes, wonderful patina cutlery box and many more great primitives. The day promised rain and the show closed early, due to bad weather reports and possible tornado. Thank you, again, to all our dear friends that came to the show and purchased from us. We truly appreciate your business. Now we are on the hunt for other great primitives and country antiques. See you next week at Mullica Hill!!!
